Nokia puts out a huge amount of phones every year, and not all of them are cheap phones. But every once in a while they come up with something outstanding, and the 6300 is one of those. It’s the first phone I ever heard described as an excellent tactile experience. People rave about how good it feels just to hold it, and that was good enough for me to try it.
The best thing about this phone is that it performs great as a phone. Sure it has a 2 mp camera and an mp3 player, but it’s mainly designed to handle calls, which is something I feel has been underrated lately. It’s great at getting and receiving calls, with excellent coverage and clear sound and its keyboard’s layout and keys make it also great for texting, in sum, it’s a phone for those of us who enjoy communicating.
The main problem about this phone is that it marks very easily, so you need to take extra care. It’s also not a phone you’ll want to drop very often but, then again, which is?
